They left out the best flavour: prawn cocktail.

If you see this, quote post with a robot that isn’t from Star Wars, Star Trek, Dr Who or Transformers.

In another episode of this weird world we live in, I’m just scrolling Instagram and one of those joke aggregator posts popped up.. I laughed out loud at one page and it turns out to be a screencap of none other than @comicprintinguk.bsky.social

Just going through and finally ordering my Jira tix, and getting rid of all the really old stuff from the older defunct design system strategy.

Did some more drawing tonight. Decided to do some faces. These are strongman Dennis Kohlruss. He’s got a nice face and can be expressive when he talks so it makes good practise.

As promised, I also want to say how much I enjoyed These Young Wolves, also by @glennquigley.bsky.social (cover art by Jaycee DeLorenzo). It continues the story of Vince Knight in the universe of The Moth and Moon. Again, big burly folks, and queer romance, as well as adventure.

To continue on sharing media; meant to write this a few months back. I finished @glennquigley.bsky.social's We Cry The Sea. It was delightful. While the story doesn't explicitly have to be an end, it rounds off Mr Shipp's story very nicely. Cover art by Natasha Snow.

This game lives within me. Of the few games that do, this is the one that has the title/menu screens that are most memorable. This game is amazing; and the art direction was perfect. The music (Solar Fields) for this page is playing in my head right now.

This is the next book; The Three-Body Problem by Cixin Liu (translation Ken Liu). @mattgikarp.bsky.social and I both realised we had this on our to-read list, and so decided we'll both listen to it now. I haven't seen the show, yet, but I'm only aware of the book because of it. Is good so far.

Trying to get back into doing a little drawing. I’ve been feeling it’s missing from my life. Anyway, anatomy is always a good place to practise, so I do my usual thing of picking cute strongmen as targets. This guy is pull_my beard on Instagram; I’ve drawn him before. Was fun. I should do it more.

Onto this after. I am sceptical of books like this, but actually enjoying listening to this one. Again, very listenable, and has been funny. One moment of casual misogyny so far, which is disappointing, but overall the book is helping me reframe some things. Lets see how it goes.

Finished listening to this, this morning. Really good, at least for my needs. I have a story I want to write, in the back of my head, always. It imagines a post-climate change world, so I've wanted to read up more on the consequences of climate change. This was very good for that. Very listenable.

Today’s look is the Kevin McCallister. And yes both of those festive hot chocolates are mine.

My current listen. I don't think I've ever read it before. Maybe I did, a long time ago. I don't remember how it goes (that's not a joke 😏).

Contemplating the future, sitting in the park by the church with a (decaf) coffee. Just letting my brain unwind a little between work stuff.

Trying to comfort myself by taking advantage of today’s “Aussie breakfast” served up by a colleague, and doing TimTam slams with my tea.

Today’s outfit is the autism special.

Well, people are posting this so here's mine. Not a remarkable number, and I don't know why being in the first 10% gives me some sort of a buzz but here we are. Celebrating Bluesky reaching 10 million users.

(I suppose if I'm 305k in 10mil that I'm actually top 5%? 😛)

Carpet, leather, brown, beige, tan in the decor, and pink purple blocky future on the screens.

Trying to resume some regular drawing practise. I now take classes in Wing Chun and thought it would be nice to combine anatomical study with study of the Wing Chun forms. Although this is not necessarily an exact execution of either.

The advantage of have a partner who is into photography. You occasionally get a nice photo of yourself thrown your way. We’ve had a brief trip up to Sutton Bank dark sky reserve with a stopover in York. This is us eating at Yuzu ramen (it was delicious).

Firefox has awarded me this for the number of open tabs I have on mobile. It’s chaos in there.

This arrived today and it is wonderful. Also timely given how the vibes meet so successfully with Lethal Company, game du jour. I’m looking forward to giving it a read and (hopefully) a play.
