Yes, I was born in Hoyland Common, where most of Kes was filmed. Yes, it does bring back good memories, I think it is time to watch it again.

The filming was done in the mining village where I was born. My father and grandad appear briefly, which is great to watch the dvd and see them both again. I have a very brief appearance as an extra.
