When I come here to share a thought, I frequently get tripped up by the 300 char limit. I get the intent, but it makes this platform less useful, and more clumsy, in my opinion, and discourages deeper statements and conversations. I think it needs to be somewhat bigger - maybe 600?

Wow, this is a big, encouraging win and demonstrates that standing up to the brutal bully from firm legal ground is the right thing to do.

The assertion that DOGE is transparent, much less “maximally transparent” is just another bald-faced lie from the current authoritarian regime. DOGE is making all kinds of false claims about big savings, and hiding the details which reveal a raft of errors and lies.

DOGE Makes Its Latest Errors Harder to Find (Gift Article)
Elon Musk’s group obscured the details of some new claims on its website, despite promises of transparency. But The Times was still able to detect another batch of mistakes.

Among other things, Trump’s latest unconstitutional move will pause research on cures for childhood cancer, close homeless shelters, halt food assistance, reduce safety from domestic violence, and shut down suicide hotlines.

People will die.

Is this what you “price of eggs” voters wanted?

One thing about being on social media - it reminds me that so, so many of us are really struggling with the emotional/psychological impact of this awful political catastrophe we are living through. It’s validating, and the desire to support each other is encouraging. Sending love to you all.

We now have a sociopathic, traitorous, tyrannical, bigoted, ignorant, murderous rapist for president. And a group of obscenely wealthy man-boys eager to kiss his…uh…ring.

Like so many, I’m feeling so scared and upset. Oh America, look at what we’ve become.

But that is not all we are.

Was gonna post on today’s ceremony - but 300 char limit stopped me. Dear @bsky.app you need to augment that - it’s too limited.

I’ve been going back to the time in 8th grade when I sat in my friend’s basement and struggled, looking at the album cover of George Harrison’s “All Things Must Pass”. I didn’t want all things to pass. I was uncomfortable with that title, and with that truth.
