This is so shady. It's like Disney saying, "See, we're not using AI, our users are." Can't wait to see what the terms of service will be for this offering (users do all the work for free, Disney takes said work and makes money off it - the actual "I made this" meme).

While the companies' jobs estimates promote economy-wide impacts, government permit filings for individual sites reviewed by Rest of World tell a more specific story. An analysis of 17 data center projects that underwent environmental review since 2012 shows they would directly hire no more than 1,547 full-time operations employees. These include projects operated by Google and Microsoft. The facilities on average offer about 90 positions, and some have as few as 20. Former workers and local campaigners told Rest of World that most of the positions are in security and cleaning.

It's powerful, but I feel the need to call out the where this imagery originally came from years ago.

Star Trek is full of such strong female characters you have to be blind (or an idiot) to ignore them. Three of my personal faves (outside the more obvious examples): Kira Nerys, Rachel Garrett, and Ro Laren.

Let me start with the obvious: Gene Roddenberry's wife, Majel Barrett, was at the core of Star Trek for decades. She acted in the show, became a guiding hand after her husband passed away, and will live on as the computer voice of Starfleet vessels.

Also, Nichelle Nichols, well... just read this:
