Moonfall is so wonderful. Each scene dumber than the one before it. I loved it.

Oh sorry I misunderstood. I like your plan.

Then they can do that now as well too and we might as well beat them to it. How can we pretend to have a democracy when both CA and WY have the same number of senators?

We should split California in two as well!

He's gonna get a lot more than $40 million back from Trump though

Your framing of this suggests that these questions will be in good faith and not just a partisan witch hunt to discredit anyone capable of seeing their movement for what it actually is.

You gotta try their Capn Crunch Milkshake too.

Sounds better than whatever it is we have been doing at least. Not that that says a lot for it.

Red Wing Iron Ranger boots. They are the absolute best. (Wolverine 1000 mile are also great)

Half of everyone's country are racists and bigots. No other country has the diversity the US has. I see it everyday here in California and when it works it really works.

America has the best chance of showing the world how different people from different races and cultures can live together peacefully as one though. We obviously aren't there and have a nasty history, but that is also the history of the world. I still think we have the best shot.

It certainly does seem more complicated than either side of this discussion are representing.

Or does this chart account for that?

Right which is why I am unsure and asking the question. Married adults share wealth. Is it significant that modern couples both work and previously only one did, and yet they have similar amounts of wealth?
November 20, 2025 at 11:16 PM
Is our assessment of wealth here affected at all by the fact that more households have two wage earners now but have the same wealth? (I'm not trying to make a point)

I certainly did not have "People Magazine for the win" on my Bingo card...

I think the borders were still quite porous even with the Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882 weren't they? I'm not suggesting nobody ever tried to limit specific movement, only that population movement in general was much more fluid. Also, 1882 is still pretty recent relevant to human history.

It is an ideal that has been true for almost all of humanity! And it worked pretty dang well.

It's an Alice Cooper song but I don't know why it's an email signature.

Uh...it absolutely does implicate him in wrongdoing?!?

I was not internet friend. Your point confused me and I was trying to figure it out.

I didn't see that you posted a wealth comparison and agree that is much more helpful when we are discussing wealth and profit distribution, more so than showing wage growth. This chart is quite striking. I have no idea what you think my narrative is.
