To be clear, I'm not suggesting those of us who do have those things in our electoral system are immune. The US has an almost uniquely weak electoral system which, to the detriment of the world, has become something of an export.

No one should have to vote against their conscience for fear of aiding their least favoured candidate. Australian here. Honestly can't fathom how you can have non-compulsory first past the post voting and call yourself a democracy. No independent election managers, electronic voting machines. Crazy.

I'm talking about things like more than 10 storm troopers in any given scene, Mos eisely not being a tumble weed town and more than just a few teddy bears celebrating the defeat of the Empire.

I'm saw it in '77 years old and this may be a hot take but I actually didn't mind the original special editions. Not all the bullshit tinkering and pointless changes since. But the original specials completed his vision in a way budget and technology didn't allow.
