We are in our stones and strings era. Pottery and beads are found among some of the earliest human remains we have, and we're experimenting with making necklaces that use only these components. (But metal closures! Is that cheating?! What do you think ..)

From top to bottom: a 4-strand braid in two colors transitioning to a spiral, a 4-strand braid in a single color, and a 6-strand braid in 3 colors. Still very much learning the 6-strand... but cord knotting is a wonderful meditation.
