Lover of stories in all their forms. Books, movies, video games, TTRPGs, to just playing pretend.

I enjoy learning, history, and studying people from the safety of my cave.

Professional "have you tried just talking to them?"

I haven't watched network TV in years, let alone CBS, let alone 60 minutes, and I am sure I am not alone. But now, that the segment is available online, *a lot* more people are watching it than if they just aired it.
a man is talking to another man and saying congratulations
Alt: Congratulations, you played yourself.

Reconnected with some old, high school friends this year.

With everything that's changed the last 20-ish years, it can be really good to talk it through with someone who grew up with the same experiences.

My son's turned 18 and graduating this year. He's turned out mostly ok. Proud of him.

Sounds like the start of a great mystery. Have you recently moved into a creepy, old house or received a letter inviting back home?

It was due to this regime that I learned that “dunce” is a non ableist pejorative meaning is “enemy of learning”

Etymologically it is a reference to the followers of followers of John Duns Scotus
One positive (I guess?) to the current regime: I get to use the word “lickspittle” a lot more often now.
