The immense joy I (modern board game enthusiast) felt when half a dozen of people in my vicinity got the reboot and realized how incredibly underwhelming and meh of a game they just got nostalgia-scammed by. Just nah. Hero Quest same shit. What was the third one? Something Dark Tower? Absolutely not

Likely not the quick solution you were looking for, but this will take potentially years of deprogramming you from being in a hamster wheel to where you can enjoy anything but hustling. It's more likely you will just find a new thing to constantly do.

the necessary accomodations to make this enjoyable for her. See if she responds well to frontrunning and being understanding of her needs and wishes and how another game with a stricter and more cohesive schedule is going to be much better for her and that it is unfortunate that she cannot play

I won't pretend like there is some word magician out there that can find the perfect tone to make her feel well-respected and not feel kicked out forcefully, but I can't give you a script for that. Bottom line: She will never take it well. Try to focus on you, your game and how you cannot provide

ic situation and she can come back when you host a different style of game in the future (which you may or may not ever do - but it's the courteous thing to say). I don't think she will make anybody including herself happy with this group before having gone through therapy.

Because this attitude also will feel like a stab in her back because she thought she was very important, I feel her needs and wishes clash too much with your style and organization, not to mention any players being affected. My suggestion is to part ways because your game is not right for her specif

ule and her feeling extreme FOMO when the game continues without her. While you can of course try and find a publicly declared downtime activity performed while waiting for players, this will likely always remain a problem because you as players do in fact not *need* her to be there at all times.
