I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if we get to the 25th Amendment - but after 1/21/27 so Vance could take over and be in office potentially for 10 years.

There is also a public education component here. The article states the original victim was scratched by the skunk. Far too many people think you only seek medical attention if you get bitten by a potentially rabid animal- not true. If you’re exposed to one, seek medical attention.

The idea that this solves the problem is questionable. Kids will find ways around the age restrictions and it just encourages adult verification laws that compromise personal information.

I don’t think either she or Talarico had a chance to win Texas. Talarico likely makes it a closer race. But this whole idea that we don’t want contested primaries is bad for our democracy. Anointing certain candidates because they have the right “profile” feeds into the cynicism of our politics.
