I finished Assassin's Creed Mirage, and am looking forward to go back to Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla with my formula of just having my character be wildly over powered from the beginning

Finally figured out how to have fun with an Assassin's Creed game: turn down enemy damage so low they can't even scratch you.

Now I can explore video-game representations of ancient civilizations in peace

I'm watching The Union on Netflix and I think this person just got hacked so badly they just...died? What?

I read (well, listened) to quite a lot last year, and I'm excited to keep it going in 2026!

Earlier this month, the word I used as my starting word for years - MISER - finally had its day in the sun and I got it in one. After some deliberation, I changed my starting word...

Which just paid off AGAIN!

Watching Rocky and what do you mean Paulie is only 36? When I watched this as a kid I was sure he was ancient

Lyric of the week: You ain't orphans, you're bitches

I'd like to insert this into a musical like Annie or Oliver

Literally signed up for YouTubeTV for the express purpose of watching college football, and now they'll no longer carry ESPN. Crazy

Thought I was just coming down with a cold - and maybe that's right - but my headache has subsided not at all and I feel both super cold and like I'm burning up.

It is unpleasant.

Overslept because I was up too late reading. First time that's happened in a couple years!

Waited weeks for a book, and when it was finally ready, I realized I'd placed a hold on the ebook version instead of the audiobook version. 🤦‍♂️

That's been corrected. The library estimates a 3.5 month hold on the audiobook. Rats.

I just updated my collection on BGG, and I'm up to 331 games.

Last time I counted was in December, when I had 305 games.

I don't even think I've played a game since last December lol

The Name of the Rose - Umberto Eco

A murder mystery with a theological flare. I had seen the movie before, though the book was even better!

99% Invisible City - Roman Mars, Kurt Kohlstedt

Good book, very informative, I just wish it were longer. I suppose that means I should check out the podcast!

The mask technology is Mission Impossible 1 and 2 is honestly the most impressive thing about the MI universe.

In the humidity of a Southern Summer, sometimes my car windows fog up from the AC. I think this is referred to as cold-boxing

Approximately halfway through 2025 and I've read* 32 books / 12,174 pages, according to StoryGraph.

The highest rated are We Solve Murders (Richard Osman) and Catch-22 (Joseph Heller)

*Technically, I've read zero. 100% of them have been audiobooks.

Age of Myth - Michael J Sullivan

I enjoyed the book, though some of the idiosyncracies in technology and just how guileless some of the characters were was a bit jarring at times. I'll probably check out the rest of the series.

I did some yard work last week and got hit by some poison ivy.

Several people have told me "It could have been poison oak, you know."
