There’s clearly a much larger story to tell about how our institutions have worked, sometimes in concert, to enable and cover up abuse of children.

I recently read about the lack of regulation in homeschooling and how that opens up the potential for abuse. And ever since I have been thinking about the connection between conservative evangelical support for Trump and the government’s protection of sexual predators.

More definitely needs to be said about Dershowitz’ defense of so many indefensible people, including himself.

I rewatched the Netflix documentary with the Trump-Epstein scandal in mind, for comparison. What strikes me is that you can kinda understand why people liked this guy before the truth came out. For the life of me I will never understand what anyone ever liked about Trump.

This IS fascinating. I agree supplements should be regulated but he should also be able to get IRB approval to study his beer. It’s crazy that the regulations are either nonexistent or stifling. With attitudes towards big pharma being what they are, this could be revolutionary

She’s missing her grandchildren’s entire lives because she can’t even muster an apology. I think part of MAGA is a desire to go back to a time when people didn’t have to be considerate and respectful of others and the rest of us were just expected to put up with them.

It’s paywalled but I see these articles every so often, & you are right—they always take the parents’ side. My husband & his siblings have been estranged from their mother for 20 years. She has never once attempted even a faux-pology, let alone a genuine apology.

It was the kindness of multiple strangers that allowed me to enjoy the rest of my wildlife tour and the rest of my trip! I will always remember Australia for its beauty, amazing wildlife, and the kindness of its people!!!

I visited Australia a few years ago. On a wildlife tour I realized too late that I had left my purse in a restaurant which was a couple hours from my hotel. The tour guide called the restaurant and the restaurant arranged to have my purse delivered to my hotel the next day. Nothing was missing.

Unfortunately my sister and her husband belong to this cult and for them I think it’s the opposite—they believe Christianity focuses too much on the gospels and they want to use the Bible to support their ultra conservative political beliefs.

He’s been openly racist his entire life! I guess now that he is kidnapping and murdering brown people, people are finally starting to notice.
