My experience with Stripe hasn’t been great either. Until you reach someone helpful in support takes a while and our last tickets answer has been basically „Our weird behavior is intended and it’s actually a feature“.

You have a very good point. I’ve seen mostly juniors not trying to understand the generated code. On the other hand, (bad) seniors use it to build overcomplicated solutions for problems that should be solved in more straightforward and maintainable ways. Both are equally dangerous imo.

Sometimes I wonder if people are actually using these agents and have felt the consequences of vibe coding. They can produce some very impressive code but saying AI is replacing engineers is pretty shortsighted.
