For me so far it's been feedback about how text-heavy my landing page was.

It's more visual now than text, not that it's helped much for this particular product. 😅

I liked doing the co-op, and this was a good learning experience.

I will def do something similar again in the near future.

Maybe after the start of the year!

If you're interested in joining a mini builders co-op in a few weeks, send me a message!

We only had one video call in the entire 30 days, and it was just me and one other person.

It was good though! I was happy to connect.

The experience was not as scary as I thought, and it was nice networking and getting more updates on what people were working on.

By the end of the 30 days, participation had dwindled to just a couple people.

Even I was failing to provide daily updates, and I was the one posting the daily threads. 😅

The updates themselves became less about marketing, and more general in nature.

So, I'm a bit lost atm.

I'll figure things out, I'm just going to take it easy until then.

Do a bit of searching inside for the answers.

In the meantime, I thought it was a good time to give an update on the 30-day marketing co-op!

I feel it calling me on an almost daily basis.

It's more meaningful to me to fight for better pay for artists than it is to build random products that help strangers on reddit.

But working on it is scary and intimidating, and I don't know if it will be able to support me.

On one hand, if I continue building products like I've been, I know I want to focus more on validation and identifying pains before building.

But I don't know if that's what I want.

I feel compelled to work on something more meaningful, like MxTp.

This seems like it would be really useful! I can't say that about a lot of the OSS I see on here. 😅

Good question! I spent six months marketing something that wasn't working at all, so I'm not a great judge of that.

In fact, I'm trying to learn how to validate before I start building anything at all.

Yep! Working on a site builder now, kinda similar to what cargo.site does but with some differentiating features.

How are the reddit posts working out for you?
December 5, 2025 at 8:18 PM
Cool, thanks! I'm already in most of these I believe.
December 5, 2025 at 8:18 PM
Can I ask, what communities you like to comment in?
December 4, 2025 at 3:35 PM
All sound ideas! That last one in particular I think could be very valuable in the near future 😅
December 4, 2025 at 3:35 PM
Same! Let us know how it goes for you!

I feel you. It is exhausting! Don't feel bad about taking breaks and time for yourself. Recovery is as much a part of the journey as all the hard work. 💪
December 4, 2025 at 3:33 PM
For me it's more like "what other choice do I have but to keep going?"

If I quit, there's zero chance of me ever achieving my dreams.

At least if I'm working at it there's even a small chance I can succeed.
December 4, 2025 at 1:22 PM
Kudos to you for spending that much! It's a real effort to do marketing, because it's so different from what you are used to doing as a coder.

Where are you focusing your marketing efforts?
December 4, 2025 at 2:49 AM
I agree, based on what I've read.

I plan to do some reddit advertising with my next product.

Probably good to get ahead of it and start doing some commenting now, right?
December 2, 2025 at 5:50 PM
Nice! I feel like I always struggle with reddit. I'm always getting my hand slapped for breaking a rule I didn't know about, or some other negative interaction 😅 But I also don't practice it, which would probably help.
December 2, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Just depends on your target audience for marketing I guess. What platforms are they using regularly?

If it's reddit you're probably good. I feel like I see lots of stories of people having success marketing there exclusively.
