Eye contact isn’t the only way to show you’re listening. Many neurodivergent folks, like me, actually process conversations better without it. Forcing eye contact can make it harder to focus on what’s being said. Don’t mistake a lack of eye contact for a lack of interest. 🫶

Having a chronic illness and disabilities means any time I actually need energy to do something important my body decides that's the exact time to play up and with everything all at once. I'm too exhausted to even use my phone sometimes.
