The Moscow Mule is simple, iconic, and has a very American origin story. Swing by for a discussion on how to make it, where it came from, and what’s up with that copper mug.

The last thing the internet needs is another opinion piece on AI and AI slop. Also, here's my latest opinion piece. It's on AI and AI slop.

How to make a traditional margarita, as opposed to one of those frozen fruit-and-sugar bombs from a restaurant chain's margarita machine (which, admittedly, are also awesome):

My wife and I were in Switzerland visiting family over the holidays, and I drank a lot of beer, because I do that. My latest post is about Swiss beer drinking culture compared to ours in the U.S., and the beers I drank while I was out there.

My latest post is all about the Martini, and be forewarned, I made no attempt to be succinct. Low on information, high on opinionation, it's a long read but a fun read (I think).

Holo Boy, the latest album from This Is Lorelei, released last Friday. The album is great. My review of the album, however, is pretty stupid. Check it out! www.bonesfisher.com/bones-record...
Bones Record Review: Holo Boy by This Is Lorelei

I wanted to get in on the "Best albums of 2025" game but I have no interest in trying to assign a rating or ranking to good music that I could never make, so instead here's my general "10 Great Albums of 2025" list. What do you think?

10 Great Albums of 2025
No rankings or ratings. Just me raving over ten albums released in 2025 that are great.

Petey USA's fantastic album "The Yips" released back in July, and the extended version "The Yips (A Case of)" came out just over a week ago. Here's my rambling, stream of consciousness review of either one of them.
Bones Record Review: The Yips by Petey USA
Petey USA delivers a delightful collection of tales about regular joes at the bar in "The Yips."

My latest post is a reflection on negativity, along with a nice fart metaphor for those of you who like fart metaphors.
On Negativity (Or… Don’t Get Mad, Get Even-Keeled)
My little treatise on negativity, how I'm trying to not contribute to it, and how it's a lot like farts.

AVTT/PTTN is the vowel-less title of the excellent new album from the unlikely duo of the The Avett Brothers and Mike Patton. Here's my take on it: www.bonesfisher.com/bones-record...

Is there a more quintessential early 2000s indie rock song than Broken Social Scene’s Anthem for a 17 Year Old Girl?

If you were 17 when that song came out, you’d be creeping up towards 40 now…

There’s not a lot of hills I’d bother to die on, but I’ll fucking fight anyone who says Goodness by The Hotelier is not one of the best albums of the last 10 years.

Wife, dog, and I went to Providence Canyon for the first time yesterday. That place is awesome. We have one more Georgia state park to visit - Cloudland Canyon - and then we’ll have been to all of them. 👊

We had a rare snowstorm in ATL on Friday and I just watched a couple teens throw icy snowballs across the street at a passing cargo train and cheer when they hit it. Harmless old school mischief. Well done, youngsters.

One of my annoying brain traits is to notice when the usage of word suddenly spikes in frequency. OR it may be that I’ve simply started focusing on that word for some unclear reason and just think it’s being used more. Either way, my current obsession is “ultimately.”
