These look great! I remember the orange woes seven class. It looks superb!

Download and review the instructions from Eduard. I do this for the same reason, I do find a lot of this stuff is replacing things for the sake of it and being charged a princely sum!

My suggestion is a rotary tool with a selection of burrs. Ideal for heavy pitting and scarification. Then softening with stinky stuff: surfacer 500/Rustins cellulose.

Big N.O. from me.

Pardon on the way?

That's an eye watering price for me. When they brought out the new generation of star wars kits I thought then 144 scale falcon was too pricey at £110.

Interesting find there. Wonder if there's some trademark issue in the UK? I'll buy some A-stand airframe aluminium, hopefully it'll be nice and shiny like it's predecessor. My gunmetal gripe is solely based on one bottle I bought yonks ago, the recipe might have changed, who knows🤔

Is that a pringles pallete I see?

Now this could be a title for an Ealing comedy.

The other A-stand stuff may well be perfect. I guess I have this weird like for that particular paint colour😆.

Who knows, perhaps other brand names have bigger/better selling impact and taking ownership commercially works out better as they'll shift more product based on brand strength, greater market coverage?

It's Ammo A-stand I believe is the re-branded version. The other thing is certain Aclads have a shelf life, the pigment starts to flock together into sizable lumps. My gunmetal and chrome have gone this way, they're chunky enough to block my 0.5 nozzle!

Alclads are no more in the UK. I think Mr Mig/Ammo now sells them under their brand# don't recall it name. But, my joy of seeing my fave colour was shattered when I used it...it just isn't the same, not glorious deep purple- black, unimaginative grey-black. Perhaps I'm being picky.

Hell' be calling it a special operation no doubt.
November 29, 2025 at 8:43 PM
Alclads we're great. My personal favourite was their gunmetal. It was a glorious purple-black flight metallic sheen. Sadly no longer available. Enjoy it while it lasts!

And dont forget the good old number stations broadcasting over shortwave etc

A fair price for a bribe or two.
November 21, 2025 at 6:13 PM
I'm sure if you thin it, spray it on your model its adds white crusty frosting to it. Perhaps ideal for miniature model cakes🤔

That old chestnut.

Best not remove the cap of this stuff with my teeth.

Its a red sky here.

Unless you're Riddick.

It'd be extra cool if it can with one of those trollies in the background. Still its a nice subject.
