2- Again, you dont go to Heaven based on anything you do or dont do. Grace through Christ and a belief in Christ is all.
I know there are many branches on religion, so I may believe differently but Lutheranisms core tenant is Grace.

I really think your assumption is misguided. Most Christians believe in (Grace alone).
Salvation is the free gift of God to man. It is given by God’s Grace alone and not through any merit on the part of the Christian.
We do not fear punishment. We try to do good because it is a product of faith.

Not in your area but I would guess it has stem girdling roots. Tree in that 20-30 year old range? Happens when the roots basically choke the tree off when planted too deep.
