Banks is up there with the very best of SF writers. I loved the way he made the culture so advanced, yet still flawed in so many ways. I think I will now have to begin reading them all over again, so thanks for the reminder.

Lovely Gloucestershire, where I first met my wife..... I've lived in a beautiful part of Northern Ireland for the last 30 years, yet still miss that beautiful county.
