As it was my first poster presentation, the experience felt both exciting and encouraging. The conference was wonderfully organized: I listened to many interestings talks, made great encounters and had enriching discussions with researchers! Thank you for all @plm-uw.bsky.social ! 🙏

This week, I had the chance to present my first poster at #SignCAFE3 in Warsaw 🇵🇱 !
The poster was about late acquisition of LSF and how children express motion events. These results are from my Master’s research, which became the starting point for the reflections I am now developing in my PhD.

At #ICED2025 in Roma, we were honored to share our joint work on the acquisition of Constructed Action in Deaf children and its role in bilingual education.

It was also my first time presenting in International Sign! A powerful moment bridging research & education across borders. 🙌

De Meulder's keynote address yesterday at #ICED2025 deeply reinvigorated me. It felt good to see such a powerful talk, one that accurately deciphers our needs as Deaf people and the vital importance of Deaf academic spaces! Thank you again!

My keynote presentation at #ICED2025 yesterday was about the critical importance of deaf academic spaces, presenting #DrDeaf as an example, and the values they entail for broader deaf educational environments.

I had planned to go but unfortunately it fell at the same time as other events. Next time, I hope to be there! 🤞

I want to highlight this acquisition through a longitudinal analysis. This is just the beginning, and I am very excited to embark on this research. I look forward to reading and studying the work of researchers in this field and adding new data through this thesis.

New adventure that started for me a few months ago, I'm a Ph.D student! I want to focus on the effects and issues during the expression of movement in the context of late acquisition by the deaf child. The late acquisition of a LS represents the situation of many deaf children.

It was a great week and a beautiful experience! I would like to thank LOT Winterschool again for making the courses accessible by bringing LSF-English interpreters and also using IS interpreters. 🙏

Since I couldn't go to #TISLR15, I had the chance to go to the LOT Winterschool at Radboud University in Nijmegen. I took courses in neurolinguistics and neurocognition. I also had the chance to discover the @mpi-nl.bsky.social where my thesis cosupervisor works and to meet a deaf PhD student!
