My copy of Murdoch’s The Bell had an earlier life as a library copy labelled “reading group pack” I bought it in a charity shop and benefit from someone’s analysis scribbled in pencil in it. Lovely.

Last read in anticipation of the 2001 BBC adaptation. Found in the charity bookshop today after hearing @onebrightbook.bsky.social is to discuss it.

Just found this in the charity shop. Older woman revisits childhood home and remembers wartime country childhood not all idyllic. Delightful read.

I picked up Eileen as I felt someone had recommended it, but didn't know who or anything about it (I love to start a book with no knowledge or preconceptions). I am immediately drawn in. Just searched Bluesky to check where I saw it. I look forward to reading your review when I have finished it.
