Running ads sometimes wastes time and resources. The best way to achieve more on Kickstarter with less expense and effort is to purchase a backers list. I have a Kickstarter guru who sells it for me.

I see... since it is your first project on KS. BackerList is just a list of backers who have supported many campaigns in your niche, which helps Kickstarter creators reach real past backers.

Yeah, word of mouth is a smart move, but not that effective because it won't go viral like any other promotion or ads, even Backerlist works better for the first campaign on Kickstarter like yours. Have you ever heard of that?
