Let’s do a little #WIPWednesday for my #OFMDBB25 in which Ed is a menace.

“Thought you looked like a tea guy,” Ed explains. “But we can swap if you want. Or I can go back, get something else.”
“No, tea's lovely thank you,” Stede rushes to reassure him, his teeth aching a little bit just looking at Ed’s choice. “What’ve you got there?” he asks.
“‘S a chocolate fudge frappé, extra caramel syrup,” Ed says with a sort of self-deprecating chuckle. “Got a bit of a wicked sweet tooth.”
“I can see that,” Stede chuckles back.
“Wanna try?” Ed asks, though he pulls the glass towards himself. Settles his own plush lips around the straw and Stede really tries (really does) not to stare. “Mmm,” Ed hums, “‘s good.” He tips the glass towards Stede in offering and… oh… that’s… he can’t. Not when Ed’s just… Can he? He doesn’t even like…
“Go on then,” Stede’s mouth says, completely independent of his brain. He takes a sip, resolutely not thinking about the fact that Ed’s lips were just where his are now, the paper straw still a little damp from them, and schoolyard rules would say that’s tantamount to kissing. “Very nice,” he manages, not having really tasted the chocolatey concoction at all.

“You think that’s good, you should try a bit of this,” Ed says, scooping up a mouthful of the chocolate cake onto his fork and holding it out to Stede. Not so Stede can take the fork himself, no. Ed’s holding it in such a way that it’s clear his intention is for Stede to lean in and allow Ed to deposit the morsel directly into his mouth. He can feel the heat rising up his throat and flushing his cheeks just at the idea of it. But he can also see the mischievous glint in Ed’s eye and the smirk he’s trying to suppress and Stede is not about to back down from the challenge, nor let Ed win this interaction.
So he leans in. Allows Ed to place the cake on his waiting tongue, even if it feels as though his face is positively on fire and he’s hyper aware of all the people around them in the cafe as he does. He closes his lips around it as Ed removes the fork.
Ed, for his part, has not taken his eyes off Stede. His gaze hovering somewhere around his lips now as he lifts the fork almost absentmindedly to his own mouth. As he licks the last of the sticky chocolate residue from the tines.
Gosh, Stede’s not sure he’s going to survive this. Whatever this is.

Look. Okay. So Ed hadn’t meant to dive right into some overt flirting here. He honestly hadn’t.

I’m glad you’re taking time and trying to look after yourself. I don’t think you hurt anyone at all, being concerned and worrying about you is not hurt, it’s love. I’m glad to see you pop up here. We love you and want you here, drawings or no.
