Just a few pages in the first chapter of The Scarlet Veil... so, not a fair judgment... but... as I'm reading The Vampire Lestat, the differences of vibe are being felt... I'm tending to incline towards Anne Rice writing... I don't know.. the ideal is to enjoy both 🤞
