Someone else suggested getting a soft sided bag; I’ve had LL Bean rolling duffels for years and they work really well and stand up very well to traveling.

My parents basically let us read whatever we wanted. They’d take us to the public library and we could read any book we found there. We weren’t allowed to watch more than one hour of tv per day, though. And the internet wasn’t really a thing then.
