Damn, I liked my Woodford Reserve. Guess I’m an honorary 🇨🇦 now! Also Jack Daniel's, Old Forester, GlenDronach, BenRiach, Glenglassaugh, Herradura, Korbel, and Chambord. Yes, I do hold a grudge… still won’t support Exxon brands if an option exists and the Valdez spill was 36 years ago.

Road breakfast! Two eggs, splash of water. Air fried diced potatoes (frozen), diced sausage ( breaking diet!) microwaved and topped with sriracha. Instant coffee (an acquired taste) Not perfect but beats something from a roller grill! #livingwithtrucks

Cooking for the road! Today is Shepard’s pie! Eating healthy on the road is tough to near impossible. I pre-portion & freeze meals. Enchilada casserole, Mac& cheese, quinoa w/ rice & black beans etc. My cooler half full of ice packs is good for 7 days. Many weeks I buy nothing! #livingwithtrucks.

Today was Railroad Crossing wake-up day! Daily crossing is heavily used line less than truck length from a busy 4 lane. I ALWAYS stop and look down the tracks. Today the approaching train was maybe 10 seconds from the crossing switch! Follow your safety practices without exception hands. Be Safe

Railroad Crossing SAFETY! 1) Every rail crossing has a sign with the direct contact phone number and crossing identifying number 2) If stuck on tracks get everyone out and call the RR directly ( personal bad experience calling 911! Don’t understand the urgency of a lowboy high centered on a tracks)

Murphy saves the day!!

Another 14’ wide to a school project. 6’ stinger off right side. Permit route up Burnet Rd straight thru Austin. Stupid level approaching 11. Continual stream of cars cutting in front and around overhanging beam. At a stop light/split lanes 1) check left mirror

Oversize continued! 1) If I need an inch of another lane, I will split and take two lanes (liability) 2) lane widths vary and change often. 3) running (overhanging) the shoulder is not always an option eg. a) at on-ramps we immediately enter another lane b) overpass support columns #livingwithtrucks

I’ve been taking break from media! But I’m back…Professional drivers do not do random. Literally every action is about safety 1) do not hang out beside an O/D 2) If the turn signal is on, back off, allow room for a lane change. This is not the signal to shoot around! #livingwithtrucks

I’m not a crane operator, but fairly certain that roding this unit with the outriggers retracted and boom and jib raised is not a great idea! Really spooky when they were turning that corner.

Communicating with truck is not completed unlike dogs! Two flashes of the tail (lights) is a Thank You. A wave is next level, we recognize and appreciate your help. Looong HORN BLAST… what ever you just did was next level dangerous and stupid! We saw you and intervened before karma arrived!!!

There reality is that we are a necessary “evil”. Unless you are walking down the side of the road naked and hungry while shouting your social media at the sky …you depend on trucks! #Livingwithtrucks
