The FREMM design was radically increased in scope / size / complexity far beyond the initial off-the-shelf/simple approach. Additionally the builder was beset by chronic challenges in assembling the resources and personnel to have a streamlined production process. Another procurement disaster.

Very few of those voters hate you. They are insecure, ignorant and desperate for change w/o understanding the cost. They hate themselves more than anything. The memories of world war have faded and ignorance is running it's course over here because eggs are $8... TLDR It's stupidity, not anti-EU.
