The interpersonal part of a small hangout is what I miss the most. Some things are definitely lost when you have an audience watching. And also hanging out with you irl was definitely one of my favorite parts of the trip.

Its due to streamers just not having the social batteries outside of streaming. Maybe the deeper issue lies with how much time goes into the job than our actual social lives. Hence why you see us trying so hard to build rapport on stream. Cramming social life inside of only work just isn't healthy.

The behavior is understandable but man it's weird knowing so many contemporaries in the field but it feels as shallow as a pond out here. Coming from a different walk of life into this both overstimulting but also so isolating.

The lack of camaraderie outside of being live while streaming is always bothersome. You never get to know someone outside the persona. Im guilty of this too, but it'd be nice to know more of my friends on a personal level. Instead of their username and entertainment persona.
