I play video games, wrench on cars, bust my knuckles on power tools, fight traffic on a bicycle, and read cereal boxes if I can't find a book. he / him. Canadian. Never 51.
Gotta pick Sparkplug up at camp early tomorrow, so, no social media for me until I've seen the race.

I do get a cruise in the Merkur though, so... win.

My PC, built 2 years ago, is an AMD AM5 7700x, 64gb 6000mhz ram, AMD RX7800XT, with storage bring a typical gen4 NVME.

GPU usage is pegged at 99%, 27gb of ram in use.

In fairness, I'm playing at 5220x1440, which is a lot to ask of the 7800xt.

Well. OBLIVION was awesome - pics to follow. And the Merkur made it from Ottawa to Kirkfield to Milton, and back, 1150km, with no major issues**.

Cleaning up the Merkur before a 1600km round trip to Oblivion 80s & 90s Cars & Culture Show on Sunday.

Treated myself to a test drive today. And I really like the Ford Mustang Mach-e.

I think I'd like the GT trim over the premium (moar powah! Plus the magnetic ride suspension) but this being $10k cdn less does make a strong argument.

And it's by no means SLOW.

OK we REALLY need an improvement in both sex Ed. And math. And basic analytic concepts.

I did, in fact, make it to Burgers and Shakes, and the XR4Ti manged. I definitely need more cooling, or a more accurate gauge, though.

From left to right, the cars are a MazdaSpeed Protégé, Merkur XR4Ti, Nissan 300zx twin turbo, and 3rd generation Mazda RX7 (FD).

SKITTLES!

What perfect album came out when you were 16?

There's too many. I was 16 in 1989. But...

It's Friday and I'm off work for six weeks! #soundsliketimeforabeer

It's got a "Starship Troopers" fascism vibe to it, right? It's not just me?
July 6, 2025 at 5:08 PM
Tell me it doesn't have that "Starship Troopers" fascism vibe to it!

Had the family in town over the weekend, and it was just.... awesome. I don't get to spend anywhere near enough time with my dad, brother, and niece.

I love that a dealership worked with the car community for a night like this AND that people pulled their cars out after an hour or so, so that other cars could come in and have their moment, too.

From Cornwall cars'n'coffee, at Cornwall Honda.

You just can't go wrong with a classic mini. That is all.

Went to Cars'n'Coffee Cornwall last Friday, hosted by Cornwall Honda.

Awesome venue for a show, but of course I gotta put the pics of my own car up first.

Shot on a Nikon d7100, with a Tokina 11-16mm lens.

I'm disappointed to not see a single boob-light in the place. This was an easy theme to follow.

Given I drive an oddity, I love seeing 'em. This jacked-up Volvo Cross-Country V70 is... beat to shit, and has PURPOSE. Absolutely love it. It's not pretty but it does stuff.

I mean, seriously. How can you not love this backdrop?
And then there's the fact that this is a Mercedes AMG wagon. Wagon's are what people actually need (and want) even though they buy SUV's.
