I was aware of Spidey through his Amazing Friends cartoon and The Electric Company, but that was it. I had no idea what was going on, but I loved it.

This was not the first comic I owned, but it WAS the one that started my collection. A friend lent it to me, probably the same year it was released, and when I returned it I had colored in MJ's lips in pencil. Because of that, he let me keep it.
