Members of the #UniGR_CBS from Germany, France, and Luxembourg organised a panel at the #BRIT2025 conference in Cyprus.

They brought together #CulturalStudies, #ComplexityThinking and #BorderStudies as well as entangled methodologies.

Some results from the Workshop “Mapping the #Bordertextures Approach” (16/04/2024):
👉 It opens up new analytical pathways to borders.
👉 It promises a greater knowledge gain than traditional approaches.
👉 It is a suitable tool for interdisciplinarity and current global challenges.

During a side meeting of a #UniGR_CBS seminar, the bordertextures working group stated an
increasing use of the #bordertextures approach in #CulturalBorderStudies and will in 2024 capture &
systematize the various (inter)disciplinary appropriations of the approach. (13/11/2023)

There was a very fruitful discussion on 18/05/2021 about the empirical role and conceptual place of nonhuman actors in #bordertextures with Larissa Fleischmann, who spoke in the #AtelierBordertextures about the interrelationship of humans, animals, #viruses, objects, technologies, and #borders.
