Thinking some more on it, I also believe I have a full run of the physical Shonen Jump release from Viz. Stuck around for all the digital too. I should check on my Yen Plus & Shojo Beat while I’m at it.

If Viz’s Pulp magazine lasted into the into the 2010s, they definitely would have had Dorohedoro in it. It brings back those good feels from that time.
I miss Pulp it was the absolute best. That and Animerica Extra were gone way before their times.

Holy Maeda, Oshi no Ko was right up my alley. Doga Kobo were never slouches in the animation department before, but they’re throwing hands at MAPPA & ufotable this season. Worthy of all the praise it’s been getting for sure.

Chapter 5 of Ichigoki’s Under Control had some impressive ragtime physics. I really liked how Hayashi was able to draw Honda looking like perfectly like dead weight every time. 3-5 have been the kinda fun that I stick around for.

It was a fun time until they were cowards at the end and did the obvious ending. Getting to see Blueno & Koby play such big roles in the story was cool.

Started watching the RED episodes of One Piece before seeing the movie this week. If it was Luffy’s belief that a musician was one of the more important crew members because of Uta, that’s pretty great.

Having both RuriDragon & Tokyo Demon Bride story running in Jump feels like a home run for someone who was sad he never got to play the ogre class in Dragon quest 10 (or play the game at all for that matter…).

It would “show or tell” too much, but I would love to have stayed longer in the days of Fearless, Vicious & Julia. Cho & Hassell play well off each other whichever the side.

This version of Vicious grew on me, but was around too much. I would’ve liked him to be more of a phantom, I understand why he wasn’t though. Alex Hassell was excellent in the Blue Crow Waltz. Definitely made me feel for him, a line I thought I’d never say for Vicious.

at anime cons in the mid-late 2000s, you wouldn’t miss seeing the hot pants leave either. She has such great chemistry w/ Christine Dunford & Jade Harlow, I hope they bring them back so they can get into more shenanigans together. Need more payoff for the rail-gun too.

I thought Daniella Pineda brought Faye Valentine to life beautifully. Her portrayal was the highlight of the series for me personally. I don’t care at all that they made her wear her jacket all the time or got rid of her hot pants. If you were old enough to see man-Faye around

was not need for people to warm up to or identify with Jet. That’s his charm, he is the most identifiable member of the crew (Faye being a close second). It was nice seeing him have some one to care for, but takes away

I enjoyed how Mustafa Shakir played Jet Black, but I’m sad he had to play such a dumbed down version of him. An actor of his caliber could’ve easily handled Jet proper. No question about it. I REALLY disliked them making him a father and a absentee one at that. Kimi definitely

John Co was a fantastic Spike Spiegel. It looked like John effortlessly became Spike, he radiated some of his aura. They definitely played the Spike is an asshole card too often & too quickly early on for my liking though. Just needed more of his cool devil-may-care attitude.
