Oh God. I was worried the console experience came off when menus would degrade to XP style two clicks deep, but that's so much worse.

Yeah, the Type O Negative and Skinny Puppy(-ish) songs were great additions to an already amazing soundtrack.
Never got the love for the PC midi soundtrack, though.

Gaming now needs curators more than critics. Steering players off GaaS treadmills (they're 50% of playtime) and toward interesting games. Piggy-backing on events rather than launch-hype for attention and a Patreon might work.
That's not ideal but would actually help the market and be independent?

That's my underrated 32bit game.
From the soundtrack to the visuals this is such a coherent production.
Game artists were (partially) responsible for the amazing metal soundtrack. 🤘

Shawn Elliott vs TotalBiscuit

Outspoken developer calls some streamers behavior "gross" and that streamers PR team goes right to his employer? Resulting in a gag order and probably reputational damage?
Has this side gotten better?
The time that TotalBiscuit totally told on me.
Update: TB and I spoke briefly and agreed to continue the conversation in the comments section.  “We run a popular gaming channel with ove...

I haven’t seen the game in almost 30 years, and it’s worrying to think what passed without question and how it might have shaped my and others people’s worldview.

Was it that bad? I’d already stumbled over the “historical awareness” they mentioned in the German announcement tweet.

Maybe buying Activision Blizzard was what killed Xbox. Call of Duty is their bigger, more important gaming platform now.

How much do you want to spend on launching a console when you have Windows and Sony is suing you to bring CoD to PlayStation?

Or: how much revenue on PS is done in MS games now?

The WiiU sold out in the US during its launch week.
That's not a good predictor for success.
Why I'm not excited: it's more of the same at a higher price point.
It doesn't seem creative, more like a thing they had to do to stay competitive.

Oh, sorry for the "interesting", I meant that positively! I think it's a good way to have proper journalism and still bring in personality.

Posting a proper VGC article and then quoting it with your own commentary is an interesting format. Just saying

Yes, exactly. For me the point of being on Blue Sky is among others not being on X.

Sonic Adventure.
I rented a Genesis to get into Sonic 2 and played through Sonic 1 on the Game Gear, but never truly got what the hype was about
