Old weirdo in Oregon. A system that won't reform will destroy itself.
It can be both. A lot of people in the US aren't used to feeling like they need to do anything. Seems like we're starting to figure that out.

Here's a solution. Don't divert money to protect incumbents in primaries. Problem solved.

Dem strategy of being noncommittal on important issues is a recipe for losing. Not just for the candidates, but for everyone.
Weird to hold so much hate for voters when the unapologetic incompetence at the top is to blame.

Y'all know it's about attention and you're doing exactly what he hoped you'd do.
Like what happened in DC that will actually matter?

I'm aware. It was a rhetorical question. I'm expecting half measures from both on Israel.

"post liberal" has a very recent affiliation with thing like the dark enlightenment going back to Nick Land.
Also there are things other than Marxism which retain many of the goals, but not the methods. That was long called post-liberal, but you wouldn't necessarily call it illiberal.

Yeah that would be annoying

I'm getting texts from Mark Kelly like he's my middle school BFF. At least it's not Fetterman.

And the left critique is that liberalism always has an excuse about why it's not the right time for justice or liberation.
Thomas Paine who inspired the revolution wanted to end slavery and real equal rights, but he was ultimately pushed out and left America.

A core tenant of liberalism is private property. This leads to undue influence of the owners. There are ideologies left of liberal that reject private property. They may keep the egalitarian values, but argue that liberalism's internal conflicts make true egalitarianism impossible.

Or they believe in America as it was founded.
If you believe in the founding as is, the 13th 14th and 15th amendments were pushed through by dubious means.
But that put us on the path to more democracy instead of aristocratic rule.

This ignores that liberalism leaves the door open for fascism, and is inadequate to stop it once it gets in.

The egalitarianism is good, but it's always at odds with the systems that crop up in liberalism.

Address the internal conflicts and your post liberalism.

Thanks for the recent videos. I remember noticing a lot of the crunchy wellness people take hard right turns back around 2012, and a lot of people pretending that wasn't a thing until recently.

This is a lot of "the system will save you" energy.
People are already using improvised tactics and community action, because they know no one is coming to help.
