I think it's more of an Ontario thing at this point. We had it in Alberta when I was a kid in the 90s, but it switched to cartons and jugs at some point.

Booing the national anthem in response to Trump starting a trade war is pretty clearly us hating the administration. Nobody is saying they hate everyone who lives in the states. We hate the fascists and their supporters.
