Never. The only question is whether members of the opposition party will do everything they can to stop Trump from attacking our allies, which would include, at a minimum, shutting down the government.

You can't ask people to understand its a crisis if you behave like its business as usual.

As I understand it, ICE is complaining that a place where they had no legal right to be denied them entry in a professional manner with considerable advance notice.

Is it the professionalism and advance notice that's the problem?

In 143, the Ming Dynasty destroyed its fleet, the greatest in the world. So if that's the most recent case of this level of a hegemon hitting itself in the face, its been about 600 years.

Manufacturing is actually down, because the Trump tariffs made no attempt to account for foreign-made parts necessary for American manufacturers.

The stimulus level wasn't really his fault. It was basically what Sue Collins could approve, b/c Democratic Senators were never going to strip the filibuster.

Not prosecuting torturers was his fault, as was not pushing on mortgage cramdown, which I think he could have gotten with effort.

And yes, a lawsuit is not proof, but the basis of the class action is that UH pretended it could continue to deny care at the same rate when it couldn't do that b/c of public pressure, and the false claim led to claims about profit which UH knew/should have known were false.

The Gulf War had a messed-up ending b/c it went too well. They gave CNN video of Marines practicing landing so the Iraqis would see it. The idea was when Marines landed, the Republican Guard would advance against them, allowing US armor to sweep in behind. But the Guard ran, leaving them intact.
