:O That's such a cool edition!

(Oh, I didn't specify. The adpocalypse, or whatever you want to call it, happened late 2016 or early 2017. I'd earned that $76 over the course of the previous two years or so, slowly creeping up to the $100 payout threshold, until it was frozen for nearly a decade.)

I'd been planning on waiting to reapply until I saw how my regular uploads (Boter Plays Something) performed when i resumed, but with the time press of claiming the money or reopening the account, this just seemed to be the simplest way to do things.

(Ironically, the video that made this possible - Stargate: Hades' re-upload - is not eligible for monetization. But thanks to it, the rest of my channel is, so I'll take it.)

I am now - officially - again - a YouTube Partner. Still salty about what happened ten years ago because that's nearly a decade of slow-burn earnings denied to me, but here we are. Onwards, upwards, forwards, excelsior, etc.

A secret, hidden third option - reopen my AdSense account.

See, with the release of Stargate: Hades, my channel suddenly became eligible again for monetization. 1,000 subscribers, 4,000 watch-hours in the last year. So I applied to reopen the account and monetize my channel again.

It is, of course, the amount of money that was in my AdSense account when YouTube upped their monetization thresholds. (Logan Paul did a bad thing and small creators got punished. Still salty.)

Anyway, I could either claim it, or they would remand it to the state for me to claim from them.

Oh, blast. Lack of credentials: misspelling @rhi.bsky.social's name v.v

ANYHOW

The game means so much to me and it's a shame we probably won't see another in the series, even one as mixed as Catalyst was. Huge thank you to everybody involved in production, and for the author for this article.

(Credentials: precious car named Faith, with tattoos to match; bought the original line art from the artist of the Mirror's Edge prequel comic that was written by Rihanna Pratchett to felsh out story beats that were cut from the game.)

My friend AJ, when I informed him: "Eww."

Me: YOU GET IT

Him: "Mustn't" looks visually incorrect. I'm low key disgusted. I would just silence the "t" when saying it anyway. If I pronounce the "t" it feels like I'm botching saying mustard.

Lovely! I'd love to know how far apart these are taken - alt-text would be amazing.
