Feeling Minnesota

I'm not the cat in the box. Yet.
A life preserver being rabidly grabbed at by a drowning country

Ironically, my username has been feeling Minnesota for many months. I loved Chris Cornell and grieved at his suicide. Never thought it would hold significance beyond that. Anyway. Sorry to rant, anyone that stumbles upon this set of posts. Sometimes things must be released to deal with them.

Tell me, anyone. What can we do? I want the terror they are trying to inflict on us. On US. to be stopped. I want them gone or jailed. Either will do. How do we do that? How do we move a population to action that's spread across 4 million miles of land? Who do we call upon?

Im so ashamed of our country, of myself, my friends and family. We do nothing now. We Monday morning quarterback everything, we criticize and insult, but it seems a weak reply to murder and kidnapping and weaponized force used against poor and defenseless individuals. Im beyond upset yet powerless

What do we call upon our duly elected representatives to do? How do we turn this monstrous tide of hatred and lies to some semblance of normality again. We're over 300 million individuals in this country. Is there really nothing more effective we can DO? My own father fought in WWII to stop it.

What action is needed here? Im admittedly too young to remember much about the Vietnam War (was a child in the 70s) but there was conflict and tension in between the episodes of laugh in, and people placing themselves in danger to protest. Is that what it takes because I don't think it's working

Thanks for the link! Gibson always seems to possess an uncanny ability to quietly prophesize. Never bold, sweeping statements, but in short and often humorous quips that say everything you need to know as time moves forward. One of many reasons this man has remained my favorite author over 40 years

Not to mention anachronistic. Boring, and living in 1956 in his head.

Oh, man, I'd love to but my budget is gonna be tight for the next year or so (first time home owner!) So switch 2 isn't in my foreseeable future. Definitely asap purchase next $500 or so I have floating around, tho! I hear it's great!
