Some people are lamenting them doubling down on the experiments-gone-wrong dinosaurs/monsters from the Jurassic World franchise but I honestly think this is the most interesting hook the movie has.
Otherwise, It's just JP3 again with a different plot and a new cast.

You don't get a good sense of what the game is till about 3 hours in.
Not that there is some sort of massive game changing mechanic or story twist but the game gets going once it opens up and becomes less linear than the first hour or two.

I don't mind those complaints honestly. At least they are, seemingly, in good faith and just speak to the type of show those viewers would prefer.

There was still silly arguments but it was a lot more civil and positive in most places.
But I could be retconning it in my head out of nostalgia, haha. It's true that we forget most of the messy stuff.

Yeah, that's fair. It wasn't perfect. I am definitely exaggerating a bit. But in comparison to any other time; it was pretty easy going and less toxic.
But yeah, I am probably blocking out a bunch of weird arguments. We remember the good stuff more.
