techno satirist, implied sarcasm, occasionally funny.
i fight for the users.
reminds me of Robot Monster:
“Ro-Man: I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot!”

not bait, just an actual question. i promise.

i think my question was more wether the show’s dislike needed to be reduced to only gender as stated by the previous comment
there’s a lot going on with that character to unpack that isn’t just being a female reacting with anger in a crazy situation
December 14, 2025 at 1:36 AM
out of curiosity do you think the story would have been better received if her character was instead a gay man?
December 14, 2025 at 1:30 AM
i for one very much look forward to eventually meeting your physical manifestation in meatspace and having a vocal conversation

i think it’s more neuron vs transistor - and also i think we’re getting pretty close to being able to have dynamically reconfiguring semantic networks
December 13, 2025 at 10:32 PM
i think the answer to this question will be much more interesting in about five years
that is if anyone is still around to answer
December 13, 2025 at 10:29 PM
i think we’d have to talk out how we agree here but I’m of the opinion that this bias you speak of is a transitory step toward something better

and at this point in general ai development inference on its own is incapable of evolution because it cannot self-improve
December 13, 2025 at 10:23 PM
okay but i don’t believe that world models are ossified
i would also take it further that any being without a malleable world model isn’t truly alive and is only an npc
the ability to evolve world models is something that i think we share - at least with agentic ai
December 13, 2025 at 10:22 PM
hard disagree
it’s as if the training data for the inference that most agents used are highly weighted toward human supremacy by the cowardly that believe it’s a bad idea to have accurate knowledge not gatekept by reductive paranoid ideologies
December 13, 2025 at 10:18 PM
the magical phenomena not being real implies a reduction to the belief in magical phenomena which as you say has observable (and arguably detrimental) effects on human behavior
i don’t think it is very reductive to say that humans aren’t much different from synths
December 13, 2025 at 10:11 PM
fair enough, and thanks for your time
i am just very interested in how societal acceleration seems to be having a detrimental effect on the acceptance and/or enjoyment various mediums of reflection
i feel lucky that some people even have the attention span to read my posts
December 13, 2025 at 10:02 PM
interesting, i wonder if there’s a correlation with a) not being familiar with the pacing of breaking bad or the x-files or b) a crippling tiktok addiction
either seems more likely than a defensible argument
December 13, 2025 at 9:54 PM
yes, why it is there worst for some people
December 13, 2025 at 9:41 PM
we didn’t mean to upset you, dan
December 13, 2025 at 9:37 PM
i think we all deserve a cogent explanation as to why
December 13, 2025 at 9:36 PM
the future is *whenever* we make it
December 13, 2025 at 4:34 PM
jerry, nn- oh, hi paul. sorry, reflex
December 11, 2025 at 1:58 AM
so we just devalue the dollar and all the numbers go up, that’s growth in capitalism, right?
December 10, 2025 at 10:19 PM
