Yeah, the story is set in a similar time period but the Emma manga and anime have no relation to the novel besides having the same name.

Also I highly recommend reading Emma by Kaoru Mori. It's fantastic.

This reminds me of the time my sibling tried to get my mom (who loves historical fiction) to read the manga Emma. She almost immediately put it down and was like, "Doors don't open that way." Turns out that doors in Japan commonly open outward, while they open inward in the west (and 1895 London).

Yeah, searching around it does seem like the SuperStation won't be supporting SNAC adapters (at least from I saw in a Reddit post). That's not an issue for me personally but it is definitely a bit more limiting.

Retro Remake is also selling the SuperStation, which is basically a more console style FPGA device that is also compatible with PS1 controllers and memory cards (and can play discs with an add-on). I've been curious about jumping into FPGA stuff for a while and have this pre-ordered.
