My apologies for misunderstanding.

I’m sure you know that solar and wind are the least expensive forms of unsubsidized electricity generation. (See: Lazard)

Unlike all fossil fuels, they are non-polluting at its source of generation, which is a win-win for all, including the children of consumers.

Regarding recycling:

A company in Norway is recycling LiIon batteries successfully.

Regarding safety:

there are FAR more injuries & fatalities due to carrying a volatile liquid (gasoline) in a tank in a vehicle!

Its world record in electric cars is creating a battery recycling revolution in Norway | Business Norway
Norway has long held the world record in new sales of electric cars. In 2022, the share of EVs increased to a mind-boggling 79.3 per cent. This EV success is laying the foundation for pioneering batte...

The internal combustion engine is at most 30% energy efficient (70% of energy is lost to waste heat). An electric motor is 95% energy efficient.

For every $3.00 in gasoline, at most, 90 cents of energy goes to moving a vehicle, $2.10 is wasted energy.

But, $3.00 of pollution!

Why burn fuels?
December 22, 2025 at 5:56 PM
Charging time is already greatly reduced. 15 minutes 20% to 80%. These things are evolving fast.

Level 3 fast chargers need to be incentivized on all highways. Not likely to happen under the current myopic Administration.

But sustainable energy generation & transportation are responsible choices.
December 22, 2025 at 5:36 PM
China is way ahead of most of the world in sustainable energy.

Yes, they continue to burn fossil fuels for power generation (they are the leading manufacturing center of the planet). They prioritize sustainable energy, preparing for the future.

Do you think the US would be smart to do the same?
December 22, 2025 at 5:20 PM
There must be a push to get level 3 chargers on ALL highways. That will reduce “range anxiety”.

EVs are the necessary future, but public enthusiasm for the technology is needed in the US.

Too many repeat negative talking points. EVs are quiet, quick, fun to drive, and satisfying to your wallet.

This is a call to all those who want to oppose the dismantling of a working government & help defeat the Repubs running for Congress in 2026!

Please make time next year to help reach out to your neighbors.

This is partly in our hands.

That was definitely a great episode. Society gets further through diplomacy, compassion, and understanding, than from prejudice, selfishness & conflict.

Apropos for today’s political & economic environment!.

Or so gullible, they become cynical of even what they witness before their own eyes. E.g. January 6, 2021, the disasters from the climate crisis, etc.

Thank you Rep. Stansbury!

Yup, I read a lot of posts lashing out at Dems for this political mess.

How about:

Why did 49% vote for a convicted felon?

Why did a large % of Dems not vote at all?

Why do people vote against their own self-interest?

Why are there single-issue voters?

Why don’t people understand civics?
November 10, 2025 at 2:46 PM
Why is that, specifically?

Is it because the Repub base is focused in how they vote as a group & Dems are not?

Is it State specific?

How does the Dem party increase voter loyalty & turnout?

These are important questions that need answering if Dems are to regain control in 2026.
November 10, 2025 at 2:34 PM
While we are at it, call EVERY Republican Senator.

Unfortunately, we live with a binary choice. Either supporting the Dems, where some members are voting badly, or support Repubs, where ALL members vote badly.

Do call out the turncoats, but do not lose sight of who really harms us ALL.

Icebergs…a dwindling resource! Pun intended.

Let’s all be more conscientious about how we generate and use energy.

Buy fossil-fuel free energy (wind, solar, hydroelectric)

Reduce carbon footprints by buying battery-electric equipment & vehicles, hybrid vehicles, consolidate trips, eat less meat.

Beautiful image enhanced & made possible by what the Earth has built over billions of years for our survival (See: cloud background).

Let’s support sustainable building practices and sustainable energy generation so that we may continue to flourish and build beautiful structures.

It would be very beneficial to increase R-values in building codes for all new building construction.
November 5, 2025 at 3:22 PM
Nice article. Thank you.

One suggestion: please add R-value to fig 1 and discuss it in the body of text.

Push back with evidence!

Always cite evidence before asking a liar a question.
November 3, 2025 at 9:55 PM
Did you notice that the BBB that was passed by the Republican Congress rolls back programs that help low income voters & gives tax saving benefits to the ultra-rich? Moreover, the bill included huge subsidies for the fossil fuel industry & cheap public land leases to resource extraction industries.
November 3, 2025 at 8:00 PM
You know who needs to hear that…every Trump voter who thinks any of what this Admin is doing is Making America Great!

Pure evil.
November 2, 2025 at 3:48 AM
Thanks for this comment!

I would say, “start listening to the people who have spent their lives in academia or industry actually analyzing the thing that we want clear understanding about”! (E.g. climate scientists understand the climate crisis)

Why bother believing opinions without evidence?

Excellent advice from a BBC article posted by another user:

Check MULTIPLE SOURCES: Reliable information is usually reported by several reputable sources

VERIFY with EXPERTS: Trust information from experts IN THE FIELD

Look for EVIDENCE: Credible claims are backed by evidence & scientific data
