My hottest take is none of the sports games are actually good or have ever been good.
Because sports games are not that good.

No company should be responsible for the safety of its users. That is the responsibility of the user and/or legal guardians of the user.

From needing to be on its last gen counterpoints, both limiting its potential in what they can or can’t achieve because of aging hardware. But also this unintentional assurance to the consumer that there isn’t a “need” to buy the new systems. Not to mention the princes scaring people away as is.

The issue in my view is the idea of maximum availability is better for sales overall. But it does mean the average experience suffers for it. I’m not a “oh games were just better in the past” person but. Experiences like Halo Infinite and a lot of PlayStation’s 1st party output suffers- 1/2

Also also, people say the jump form ps4 to ps5 is minimal, and while that is debatable. Without a big BIG game to show just what the tech can do when used to its full potential? How is the general customer meant to see a difference?
How are we meant to be impressed by the same thing on each system?

Not saying good games haven’t come out.

And nothing is exclusive to the Xbox series of systems, so why bother buying one unless you was exclusively on Xbox the generation before.

I’m interested to see where the story goes even if it’s not hooked me as much as I was both expecting considering the reaction to this game. To be clear I want in blind so I had 0 expectations.
Maybe my opinion will change so I have an open mind.
