As part of a new worldwide distribution scheme, I'm offering Everything We Had, the first book of my New Merciful War series, at 50% off via Smashwords. Here's the coupon code: F9ZLQ.

Went up at 0848 EDST on May 7 here in the States, so it may be an hour or two before it goes active.

Enjoy!

Anyone have any thoughts on the kindle audiobook beta release? I've listened to their voices and they sound artificial -- and there are certain things it flubs.

I'm resigning from Kindle Unlimited to "go wide" and spread the availability of my books. At present this means only the first book, Everything We Had, is on Nook; I'll add the next three books in the series (A Snowball's Chance, Boxcar Red Leader, and Thanks for the Memories) by mid-April.

Would highly recommend Andrew Wareham to anyone who likes historical fiction. Wareham concentrates his writing on events and people in England in the period between 1600 and 1945. One of his series, "The Duty and Destiny" series, will appeal to readers of C.S. Forester and Patrick O'Brian! #bluesky

The senators from North Carolina aren't answering their phones. Tillis goes straight to voicemail, with menu choices, which lead to dead air. Ted Budd's message wants to know your name, number, and reason for calling, asks you to leave a message, and then announces "this mailbox is full."

Anyone here a fan of the novelist Allen Drury? I'm a big fan of his "Advise and Consent" series, but I just read Anna Hastings and am at a loss to completely understand it. Can anyone help me out with this?
