Walking the dog and discovering a Tesla ran over a sign and two new trees on the median of Monument Avenue. Don’t worry, there are “Slow down” Vision Zero signs on the next block. 😤🤬

After much discussion last year about how much honorary street designations cost us, and that we should have more stringent qualifications, there are seven before council tonight. Most from Trammell.

Interesting to me that the City of Richmond VA has an official Twitter page still active, but hasn't posted or replied since the water crisis. No presence here or Threads.

The other two offenders. Unfortunately, 30 minutes later only one vehicle remains and RPD has failed to show.

The entitlement of some people. They need to illegally drive into a public park (Bryan Park) rather than walk 100 yards from the parking lot. This behavior damages the park and threatens the safety of the families and kids who are running around the soccer fields. Damn right I called the police.

A MoFi level repress of this album (2 LPs) at $60 kind of makes me laugh. I can't wait to read the reviews of the audiophile remastering of a simple garage rock masterpiece. Yes, this party is really rocking! Please put on "No Fun." It's side 1 of the second LP.

Anyone looking to move to the Museum District?

I don't recall Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden ever running discounted membership promotions before. Good opportunity if you let your membership lapse or have been wanting to join.

My family wanted to walk to Carytown for dinner. I noticed Torchy’s has posted an announcement they are closing the Carytown and Midlothian locations.

Wonderful look inside William Fox Elementary School tonight. My heart is so full with gratitude for everyone who had a hand in this rebuilding process. Now let’s fix up our other Richmond schools too! #PublicEducation

Nice crowd for National Night Out in the Museum District. Thanks to our civic association volunteers and neighbors for always being supportive. Thanks to RPD and RFD for always being ready to serve. Bonus: I met local celeb Ernie, the arson dog.

Reminder the city is responsible for maintaining its trees. Branches should be at least six feet from buildings. You just need to call and report it. #RVA

I’m encouraged by the curb extensions being installed on Main Street. The signs have done nothing to slow traffic on Monument Avenue. What changes would you like to see? LQC or otherwise.

Maybe an outlier with how many trucks DMB uses, but this was a logistical nightmare for parents whose kids attend camps in JRPS. To say nothing of regular residents’ access. Proper site planning should have addressed this access requirement.

If you thought LiveNation needed to use the Belle Isle parking lot for Allianz amphitheater staging, this is what it looked like all day today. Clearly just a security concern and allows them to close the connecting streets. Do they get a Work in Street Permit for every show?

Listening to @bullseye.maximumfun.org with Cole Escola who I didn’t know much about, so I googled and saw this great Easter egg scrolling at the top. Nice one.

Took the family to my one of my wife’s happy places tonight, Tinder Hearth, just down the road from her parents’ place. Always worth the reservation hoop jumping. So quintessentially Maine.

Honk if you see me at Humphrey Calder! Out here in the humidity to support @tomrvaca.bsky.social for Commonwealth Attorney! 💙

Well, I’m waiting on Richmond Police to respond to this case of dumping hazardous materials at the vacant lot. Which they have on their own security monitoring pole posted in the middle of the lot. So I don’t think anyone cares about the law much.

Please upvote this RVA311 ticket that’s nearly 90 days old. The street/sidewalk/crosswalk floods with rain. Many children walk and bike here to get to school. For context, the clogging is 100% runoff sediment from the developer who tore the house down here. PITA city planning.

If you have a vehicle with air suspension, perhaps an older Land Rover, and your vehicle suddenly lowers in one corner after a bump/impact, sure, try jacking it up to see if it’s a sensor out of range issue. But if you then hear this noise? You’re FUBAR. Full replacement time. 👍

Don’t love that I’m hearing about more water issues in Richmond from our school system first and not the city. I even opted in to the new communication platform.
