also in a society where we can’t remove cars and then add new infrastructure lest a significant amount of our supply chain get severed, you do have to bite the bullet and accommodate cars to a practical extent

they cost a lot and the emissions are insane but i have to image they pay back quickly given how much idling in traffic they avoid. you can also wrap three sides of it with shallow buildings and it looks fine
