"what do trolls find attractive?" i had like five people ask me variations of this lol
sketch of two trolls with big tits with the words BIG TITS written below it big ass also a plus. generally the bigger trolls are considered the most attractive, but that's not just for muscles. fat is very attractive for the same reason it was attractive through most of history: you're able to get fat? oh you must be doing very well. anything that shows you're capable of taking care of you and yours is attractive. more specific to trolls, well kept tusks and horns. tusks grow constantly and need to be worn down and polished a bit. fun fact, trolls can grow tusks from the top and bottom rows of their teeth, but most only grow one pair. some tribes naturally grow and keep both. in tribes where that's not the norm, they'll pull whichever set makes the most sense while you're a child. It Sucks but it's overall better for your health. tontu is a top grower, which is less common in his village. as for behavior, that'll vary per person and group, but among the trolls we're concerned with, "tough but with a heart of gold" is the ideal partner. someone who can kick ass but will melt if you scratch their ear just right. you don't want someone who's On all the time, so while strength and toughness are attractive, you shouldn't be bringing that into the home. being popular is also attractive, having lots of friends. the strong silent loner type doesn't do very well. makeup and accessorizing... makeup is for special occasions only, because trolls naturally sweat a lot so it would just get ruined. and even then 'makeup' means face and body paint, usually for a performance or a celebration. "do trolls have any preferred wooing/mating rituals? and are there any physical traits that are considered more desirable?" because i was asked several variations of this i'll just answer the wooing part and get into the traits part on another one so for one, it would be courtship. "mating ritual" is more animalistic and they're people. it's important you remember they're people. mating ritual is fine to use for imps, merfolk, and dragons because there's undeniably Ritual to it for them, but trolls are fully people and aren't acting on instinct in the same way. anyhoo. trolls are, overall, much more capable of simply inviting potential partners to Be partners. there's outright flirting, casual touching, etc. tail signals are if you want to be subtle--flicking in the direction of your own ass, tickling the person with your tuft, swaying a particular way. wanting to move in and have a child with someone is usually a more involved situation. while there's no expectation you stop seeing other partners forever when you pair off, you Should stop seeing them during a period of proving--showing that you'd make a good member of the household you hope to join. but you're too busy making yourself useful to go fuck your other friends anyway. and this can be mutual, it's not just the man proving it to the woman, but if one starts making the gestures and the other feels he same, they Both have to prove they'd make good housemates. or at least that's the ideal, it doesn't always carry out that way. Is there a difference in behavior between troll/troll partnerships vs troll/nontroll ones?" since i answered the first part, i'll answer the second part re: troll/troll and troll/nontroll partnerships. so troll/nontroll partnerships don't often happen. trolls will fuck things that aren't trolls, happily, but bringing something else into the house is less common, because that means bringing something else into the society, and that's tough. imps don't do society, and goblins are too restless and breakable--though you Will actually see goblins and trolls happily mixing among the nomadic groups. female ogres will sometimes settle with trolls, particularly if they have children to raise or if they're young themselves, but it tends to be temporary. and males next to never do. humans...i've kind of covered, in that there will be exceptions for Really Cool humans, and there are probably tribes that are cooler about it depending on where they are, but the stress of living with a society that's distrustful of you tends to push them out. as i said, trolls will tolerate humans for short stays, or for casual sex, and even on an individual basis they might like you totally fine, but you'll feel yourself being scrutinized at all times, held up against the cultural memory of what humans Do.
