I hear you, it is a giant pain in the butt. They let you upgrade your subscription online, but they want you to talk to someone to downgrade or cancel so they can try to save you. Your post reminded me I need to cancel them as well, my Sunday paper only arrives half the time

The initial concern was the ban would apply to athletes from other schools competing against the service academy teams. But with the last minute change, the ban as written is meaningless

My read on the situation is they will be more expensive than a PP or specialist if you have good insurance coverage. If you don't, the GenderGP is more affordable

The Google Music-> YouTube Music was such a disaster and downgrade. I bought so many albums via the Play Music Store. I then digitized so many physical CDs and had them all curated. Post migration it was all gone and all I could do was shuffle on YouTube or find one album at a time. I'm still bittr

We use Vercel's built in capabilities for the basic monitoring and log management. We're quite small so I'm not even at the point of upgrading to their paid tier, yet.

Not to mention Heroku is very expensive compared with equivalent AWS and GCP offerings, has extremely limited configuration options (good luck having you heroku managed postgres not exposed publicly), and gives you very limited monitoring.

I'm with you. They could have been up there slowing down every aspect of Senate business for the last 90 days, so the cumulative paper cuts would mean this doesn't go through on time. Instead it'll pass just fine after the house complains, then caves. The outcome is as predetermined as WWE.

The reason there's a Friday deadline is because this is a Presidential Recission rather than normal Senate order. The recession process, which allows the Senate to pass it with just 51 votes, is defined in the 1974 budget and impound control act

Maintenance. I did a co-op in college at the CPSC mountain bike safety and in the final paper, I used this word a ton. By the time I was done, I must have created a dozen autocorrections for this in Word.

I went to the show at Fenway on Saturday night with my 11 y/o son. There's a lot of things aimed at younger kids for sure, but we had a blast. Think of it as a two hour concert full of sing-a-longs with something that generally resembles baseball in the background.

After my annual physical, my PCP "diagnosed" me with transvestism... this was in 2023 and in a very blue state. Later when I asked her about HRT, she basically said she wants nothing to do with that and I should go find an Endo to "deal with all that".
