Being that I'm 55, I wholeheartedly (whole-aurally?) agree with you. I discovered the Kinks in 1982 (post-"Destroyer") and they played to my tween-teen, spatial irrelativity[sic] of mind, body, voice, and hormones more than the others. And, blessedly, they weren't pretty boys.
