Interesting, I had not made the distinction between usage and minutes played. I do agree with your assessment.

I just want the Kings to go on a nice long roadtrip to the East for awhile... it'll be good for the psyche. 🏀

Yeah, I'm with ya. And somehow he has to thread that needle of not getting scammed AND not failing to make a deal because he wasn't gonna get scammed.

Fringe theories include that they're just showcasing the vets they'd like to trade, that he has unseen flaws they're trying not to expose b4 trade deadline, or that he ran over both Brown and Christie's dogs. 🤷‍♂️

That's been a mystery confusing all Kings fans. Yes there's a logjam, and yes there are some better players ahead of him (like Monk), but he brings 3&D defensive skills the Kings desperately need. The lack of burn makes zero sense.

My theory is that Keon's role in the 2025 trade market is to sweeten the deals that are tougher to get done... Levine and DDR most notably.

He's inherited a mess, but seems to know the way out of the wilderness. Problem is, the first part of the journey doesn't make a lot of people happy.

As a focus of the offense, Zach has incredible talent and he's stayed healthy overall. He would be a good acquisition.

There was no "outlasting"...a last instant call on a late whistle stole the victory, but Kings absolutely won that game.

The Blazers had last second HELP, by the name of Marc Davis.

Sac's big priorities are to shed salary, gain size, and clear up the logjam at the guard position... if any deal accomplishes these things they may be surprisingly willing partners in a deal! 😀

I think Sabonis should be very marketable, with the one caveat being his large salary... pretty standard reality of a smaller market franchise.
December 20, 2025 at 3:55 PM
Sounds very on-brand. Our rookie center is dazzling everyone but if we trade Sabonis there will be a need for another.
December 20, 2025 at 3:52 PM
Interesting. IQ may interest them as they are looking to trade Schroeder (brought in to be starting PG and now w/2nd unit). I think you're right about the SG positions though.
December 20, 2025 at 3:49 PM
Just for that, you can't have him. 🤣
December 20, 2025 at 3:32 PM
No one wants to see any of these 3 go. The rationale is money (Sabonis), a log jam at the guard position that is stifling the growth of our young talent (Monk), and an obscenely enticing contract that sweetens all other deals (Ellis).
December 20, 2025 at 3:27 PM
Monk is a dawg, can be lethal from 3, and is beloved by our fan base.

Ellis is a 3 & D guy, great attitude, and still has plenty of room to grow.
December 20, 2025 at 3:27 PM
I don't know anything about the Raptors players you mention, but as a Kings fan I can tell you Toronto would be getting excellent value.

Sabonis is a beast, high IQ and an incredible work ethic. He is his father's son. Played an entire season with a broken hand.

A garbage call on a late whistle stole the victory, but Kings absolutely won that game... very proud of our guys and Coach @thedougchristie !

For real. Guess they see a need to make life more comfortable for the most coddled demographic in human history (speaking as a member of it myself)...
